Penguins General Manager Ron Hextall made some moves Wednesday night ahead of Friday’s trade deadline.
“This is not going to be good, this is not going to help, this is just another thing that for those that want to run Ron Hextall out of town . . . this is just another piece of evidence as to why this guy (should be fired),” said Chris Mack on The Fan Morning Show Thursday.
The Penguins traded forward Teddy Blueger to Vegas for defenseman Peter Diliberatore and a 2024 third-round pick.
They also traded their 2023 second-round draft pick for forward Mikael Grandlund.
As Mack said, the team got older and more expensive.
Fans were not happy after the move, expressing their frustrations on Twitter.
This comes a week after a loud "Hire Hextall" chant was heard at PPG Paints Arena after the Penguins were blown out 7-2 by the Oilers.
