The Penguins celebrated the Hall of Fame career of legendary broadcaster Mike Lange, who announced his retirement prior to the season, on Tuesday evening.

Besides being one of the best play-by-play men in this history of the sport, Lange was also known for his colorful language.

Phrases like “She wants to sell my monkey”, “great balls of fire” and “Look out Loretta” have been staples for decades.

When Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin joined the team in first decade of the 2000s, he had two new phrases just for them.

“Slap me silly Sidney” and “Make me a milkshake Malkin” became just as popular as “Let’s go hunt moose on a Harley” and “Call Arnold Slick from Turtle Crick.”

Well, during Lange’s special night he finally got want he wanted, A milkshake from Malkin.

The currently injured Penguins center went into the suite that Lange and a few special friends (Pirates announcers Greg Brown and the retired Steve Blass) were enjoying the game in.
