CRANBERRY TWP, PA (93.7 The Fan) – You’ve been waiting for size on defense, welcome Ryan Graves. The Pens signing the 6’5”, 220-pound, left-handed shot defenseman to a six-year contract worth $27 million.

A fourth-round pick of the Rangers in 2013, Graves has played five seasons in the NHL, none with New York. In his first three season with Colorado, 46 points (14 goals) in 149 games. He also led the league in plus/minus in 2019-20 at a plus 40. His last two seasons were with the Devils where his offensive game matured. Graves had 54 points in 153 games including eight goals last season and a plus 34.

The native of Nova Scotia also blocked 152 shots and had 83 hits. Over his five season in the NHL, he’s blocked 579 shots with 394 hits in 302 games.
