PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Sidney Crosby with his 14th career hat trick as the Pens pull a 5-3 upset in Dallas Saturday afternoon. Crosby continues to gain on all-time greats in several categories in his 20th season.

Milestone notes:
·     3-goal day puts him in company with Rick Tocchet, Pierre Larouche, Cam Neely and others
·     One shy of Jaromir Jagr in career hat tricks
·     NHL record for career hat tricks is Wayne Gretzky with 50, Mario Lemieux is next with 40
·     Crosby is now 3 goals from Jarome Iginla and Joe Sakic for 16th place all-time
·     With 1,682 career points, Crosby is now 41 points behind Lemieux for not only the Pens career lead in points, but 8th place all-time
·     The assist on the Bryan Rust goal Saturday gives him 1,060 for his career. Steve Yzerman is 9th all-time with 1,063

The Pens have five games left on the season, three at home.
