The Steelers awful performance on Sunday dominated the sports headlines but one Pirate player's frustrations boiled over onto social media.
Third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes posted on X/Twitter on Sunday after the Pirates' 5-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves, calling for robotic umpires, after and obvious ball was called a strike.
Hayes claimed the umpires "don't care."
Hayes posted a screenshot of a ball clearly outside the strike zone saying, "Some umpires really don't care. 3-1 call not even close. I hold him accountable after the game walking off the field and his response is '(a shrug) I gave you a chance to hit a homerun' that tells me you don't care at all. No accountability."

Hayes added by tagging Major League Baseball, asking for action to be taken.
It's rare for players to come out and straight up call for robotic umpires but with example after example of bad calls, it's hard to ignore.
Some Triple-A teams began using automated umpires this season.
There no current plan to bring robotic umpires to the MLB in the near future.
