PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The current state of the 100-loss Pittsburgh Pirates may not look great, but that will be a thing of the past soon.

And not because the season is almost over, but because the future is extremely bright.

One of the Pirates' top prospects Oneil Cruz was recently moved from Double-A to Triple-A and the results have been fantastic.

In just six games in Triple-A Indianapolis, Cruz has hit five home runs.

Cruz homered last night in his sixth game in Triple-A during the 2021 season.

In 62 games with the Altoona Curve in Double-A, Cruz has been hitting at a.292 average with 12 home runs.

Through six games and five dingers with the Indians, Cruz also holds a .524 average with seven RBIs.

At 6-foot-7-inches and a few days away from turning 23, Cruz is fittingly cruising his way through the end of the season with the Indians and should be fighting for a regular spot in the MLB soon.
