The sports world continues to make moves in an effort to return to some form of normal before the pandemic.
Members of the media who are fully vaccinated can now ditch the Zoom meetings and talk to Pirates players in person.
The announcement came Tuesday morning in an email from the Pirates organization.
Media members will be able to go onto the field at PNC Park to interview players, something that hasn’t been done since 2019.
The Pirate are the first organization locally to make the move, with the Steelers and Penguins still operating via video conference.
The Pirates begin a three game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday night at PNC Park
