The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded starting pitcher Tyler Anderson to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for prospects Cristian Hernandez and Abrahan Gutierrez, according to multiple reports.

Anderson was scratched from his scheduled Tuesday night start and Pirates manager Derek Shelton said they have activated pitcher Cody Ponce from Triple-A Indianapolis and infielder Rodolfo Castro from Double-A Altoona.

They have been brought up to replace recently traded players Adam Frazier and Clay Holmes.
