According to one MLB Insider, the Pirates have no interest in trading outfielder Bryan Reynolds and plan to make him a part of their next competing team.

While Adam Frazier is the Pirates' biggest bargaining chip heading into the trade deadline, there has been some talk on whether the Pirates would move on from Reynolds as well.

But, MLB Network's Ken Rosenthal reports that the Pirates, "only are inclined to trade players who are under control for three or fewer additional seasons, and Reynolds does not fit that description."

While Adam Frazier is the Pirates' biggest bargaining chip heading into the trade deadline, there has been some talk on whether the Pirates would move on from Reynolds as well.

Acquired in the trade that sent Andrew McCutchen to San Francisco, Reynolds has been one of the Pirates' best players in 2021, bouncing back after a down 2020 season.

Reynolds has made himself home in centerfield and is currently batting .301 with 17 home runs, 53 RBI and an on base of .909.

The Pirates have control of Reynolds' contract for four more seasons after 2021 with Rosenthal adding, "and the Pirates - yes, I'm actually typing these words – intent to build around him."

Reynolds, along with Frazier, both started in their first All-Star Games last week.
