Teams will call about Bryan Reynolds, should the Pirates listen?

Bryan Reynolds with the Pittsburgh Pirates

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) Could Bryan Reynolds' days with the Pittsburgh Pirates be numbered? People have begun to wonder if one of the Bucco's best players can catch a useful return.

According to Jason Mackey of the Post-Gazette, thinks that if the Pirates were to move Reynolds for a pitching prospect that it should be of the elite level.

"I think he would fetch somebody's top pitching prospects," Mackey said. "If there's an elite farm system and you're going to get an elite pitching prospect from that… yes. But I also don't think that's going to be enough to do a deal."

Mackey went on to say that teams are going to call about the outfielder, but the asking price to part ways with Reynolds needs to be extremely high.

"A top pitching prospect? Yes. You better also be throwing in a top 100 prospect, as well."

At the moment it seems unlikely that the Pirates move Reynolds, especially after a three home run game just hours after Mackey's segment with the Cook and Joe Show on 93.7 the Fan.

If the Pirates front office truly believes the team can win in the coming years, Reynolds needs to be a part of it.
