PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – All week the talk has been about George Pickens and his effort, or lack thereof. Saturday, the second-year receiver had the Steelers longest touchdown of the season, an 86-yarder, from Mason Rudolph.
The play was a 10-yard slant and then 72 yards of Pickens outrunning the Bengals defense on the Steelers second play of the game. The offense was pinned down at the eight-yard line after stopping Cincinnati on its opening drive.
It was Pickens first touchdown since October 29. On one play, it was his most receiving yards since October 22. It was also Rudolph's first touchdown pass since November 14, 2021. It was the longest pass play by the Steelers since Week 12 of the 2018 season, Ben Roethlisberger to JuJu Smith-Schuster of 97-yards at Denver.
