The Steelers have made a series of moves Thursday afternoon.
Rookie wide receiver Calvin Austin III and safety Damontae Kazee have been placed on injured reserve.
Both Austin and Kazee will miss at least the first four games of the season.
Linebacker Marcus Allen and offensive lineman Trent Scott have been added to Pittsburgh’s 53-man roster.
Allen was part of the final cuts on Tuesday, he’s played in 33 games for Pittsburgh since he was drafted by the Steelers in 2018.
Scott was also released on Tuesday after he signed a one-year deal over the offseason. He’s played in 53 games in the NFL since signing with the Charges as an undrafted free agent four years ago.
He spent his past two seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
Austin III has been injured for a majority of Training Camp and didn’t play in a preseason game.
Kazee was injured in the last preseason game against the Detroit Lions.
The Steelers have 11 players on their practice squad and can still sign four more.
