Steelers linebacker Devin Bush is taking exception to the fact that Tim Tebow is getting a shot to make an NFL team before Colin Kaepernick.

“Tebow got a job before Kaepernick. Wait till we play Jacksonville,” Bush said on Twitter Tuesday morning.

It should be noted, the Steelers dont' play the Jaguars in the regular season.

According to multiple reports, the Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to sign Tebow, 33, to a one-year deal to play tight end, a position he never played at the collegiate or professional level.

Once the move is made official, he'll be united with Meyer, who helped Tebow win two national championships and a Heisman Trophy with the Florida Gators during the late 2000s.

Since 2015 -- the year he last appeared in the NFL -- Tebow has spent time as a broadcaster for the SEC Network and professional baseball player in the New York Mets' farm system.

Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016 after controversy surrounding him taking a knee during the National Anthem to protest the way people of color are unfairly treated following multiple incidents of police brutality and racial violence.

Kaepernick said as late as last season that he was still ready to join an NFL team and that he is working out five-days a week.

It’s hard to believe an NFL team with quarterback troubles would not at least bring Kaepernick in for at least a workout, but that has so far not happened, at least not seriously considered.

While the controversy surrounding Kaepernick and his social justice issues are likely the reason he is not in the NFL, Bush says it isn’t even about that.

“(By the way) has nothing to do with the whole race, protest thing. Just competitor vs competitor,” said Bush.

He also offered to show anyone who disagrees with him how he feels.

Bush is right though. From a pure skill perspective, Kaepernick is much more talented than Tebow.

Bush had knee surgery that ending his 2020 season early, but expects to be on track for the 2021 campaign.
