If Kenny Pickett can't play after being diagnosed with a second concussion this season, the question Steelers fans are pondering is, who should start.
According to a poll posted by KDKA-TV and 93.7 The Fan's Bob Pompeani, a large majority of people want to see Mason Rudolph over Mitch Trubisky
As of 1:30 p.m. Monday, Rudolph had over 70 percent of people voting for him over Trubisky who was under 30 percent.
Other polls have showed similar results. Steelers fans want to see Mason.
That's a big change compared to just a few months ago and a complete 180 from last season.
Rudolph hasn't even gotten a helmet on game day so far this season, with Pickett not missing any time after his first concussion.
"Everybody wants the other guy, even if it's Mason Rudolph," said Ron Cook on Monday's edition of The Cook & Joe Show.
Joe Starkey said everyone always wants the backup to start and this time it would happen to be Mason Rudolph.
Rudolph hasn't played since a start against the Detroit Lions at home last season. He had one touchdown and one interception in the tie against the at-the-time, winless Lions.
Overall, Rudolph has gone 5-4-1 over his career since being drafted by the Steelers in the 3rd round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
It's been said the backup quarterback is the most popular person on the team and while surprising, three interceptions thrown by Mitch Trubisky in Sunday's loss against Baltimore has people clamoring for Mason Rudolph.
