Obviously fans are excited, but his fellow peers have been showing their support for the new highest paid defensive player in NFL history.

Watt himself tweeted a remark to Pittsburgh Steeler fans hoping it was okay that he sticks around for a while.

Teammates like Ben Roethlisberger and Cam Heyward were vocal about getting Watt his money, and now that he’s gotten paid, they’re excited for him.

Joe Haden, who last week said this would be his last season with the Steelers before testing free agency, told Watt that he deserves every penny.

All three of the Watt brothers have a reputation of being vocal with each other on social media, and a giant contract like this is no different.

Both JJ and teammate Derek tweeted their thoughts, and a quick quip, with their thoughts on the deal.

T.J. Watt and his new contract have become the talk of the town the past few months, and the news of his new deal has transcended football.

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jake Guentzel tweeted out his appreciation for Watt’s new deal.

Needless to say a lot of people are happy. Now we wait for the Steelers season to start in just a few days.
