A new ranking has Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky toward the bottom of the list when it comes to QBs in the AFC.

FanDuel ranks the recently-signed free agent 14th overall, which is third from the bottom.

It’s not really a surprise as Trubisky has yet to show his potential in the NFL.

While he went 29-21 during his four years with the Bears, he went 0-2 in the playoffs while in Chicago and after a disappointing four seasons, signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills to be Josh Allen’s backup (who also happens to be the top ranked quarterback by FanDuel.)

Only Jets quarterback Zach Wilson and Texans QB Davis Mills ranked worse.

Unless something big happens, it looks like it will be Trubisky’s team to lead on offense in 2022.

The Steelers seem to be hoping Trubisky can be serviceable or maybe even surprise them this coming season, but after that it’s hard to tell.

Head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert have been looking very hard at the quarterbacks in this year’s draft.

If the Steelers draft someone like Malik Willis, they’ll likely give him at least a year as a backup or third QB, with scouts saying he has talent but needs to develop.

So with Trubisky under center in 2022, hopefully he can be better than what the oddsmakers are projecting him to be.
