Former NFL General Manager and co host of The GM Shuffle, Michael Lombardi believes that Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins could be the long-term solution for the Steelers.

“You put Kirk Cousins on Pittsburgh’s team right now, that might improve them and it might give them a long-term answer,” said Lombardi.

Lombardi says that Cousins could be the solution for the next year or two and will give the Steelers time to see if Kenny Pickett can improve and “grow up.”

Poni and Mueller talked about the possible trade the other day and Chris Mueller doesn’t believe the cousins is the kind of quarterback that gets you to and wins you an AFC Championship Game.

Kirk Cousins is already 35 and is 74-67-2 in his NFL career.

Many believe that Pickett, at his best, can reach a Kirk Cousins level at his peak in the NFL.

Andrew Fillipponi says that Cousins would be the perfect quarterback for the Steelers.

Why? The Steelers are never horrible but also haven’t be a serious Super Bowl contender for years.

Cousins may win you 10 or 11 games, and that’s his ceiling.

Cousins would also cost a lot more than Pickett does right now, since he’s on his rookie deal.

As a caller pointed out, if Pickett can be Cousins, why pay the extra money for him?

Another issue, if the Steelers bring in Cousins so Pickett can develop… he’s already 25-years-old.
