PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Like with Cordarrelle Patterson, Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is brining another productive player from Atlanta. 5’9”, 174-pound wide receiver Scotty Miller signs a one-year deal as first reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The former Bowling Green star, Miller played in all 17 games with the Falcons last year with no starts. He caught 11 passes for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The 26-year-old had a 46-yard reception against Tampa Bay and TDs against the Titans and Cardinals.

His best season was with Tom Brady and Tampa Bay in 2020 finishing with 33 receptions for 501 yards and three touchdowns. Miller was sixth on the Bucs in catches, but first in yards-per-reception with 15.2. He started two games in the playoffs that year finishing with four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. The TD coming in the NFC Championship game, a 39-yard touchdown with one second left in the first half to give the Bucs a 21-10 lead.

A native of Illinois, Miller caught 23 touchdowns in college with 2,867 yards (third most in school history) and a 13.3 yards-per-reception average. He also ran a 4.39, 40-yard dash at his college Pro Day. In high school he scored 28 touchdowns via receptions, kick return, punt return and interception return.

He will compete with Calvin Austin, Quez Watkins and rookie Roman Wilson for snaps in the slot.
