PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) — In an interview with The PM Team Friday, former NFL player Ross Tucker stated that Steelers' quarterback Mason Rudolph has been a popular comparison for Florida quarterback prospect Kyle Trask.
According to Tucker’s sources, “two different scouts” have drawn the line between Trask and Rudolph.
It’s unknown whether it’s meant to be complimentary or not.
Rudolph is still relatively enigmatic, and his most noteworthy moments in the spotlight have come after being hit in the head with his own helmet by Myles Garrett and dating a tennis star.
Scouting doesn’t strictly revolve around a prospect’s ability to date tennis stars, so Tucker’s sources’ statements could have unpredictable results if a team is kicking the tires on Trask and their best comp is Rudolph.
Rudolph was taken in the third round of the 2018 Draft, and according to many draft analysts, the third round is an appropriate place for Trask to be selected, as well.
