Miscommunication happens all the time in the NFL, but the Steelers’ offense seems to be taking it to a whole different level, going viral
On an important 2nd and 10 with 1:32 remaining, Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett threw the ball and it landed near the Steelers sideline around the 25-yard line.
The only issues, there was absolutely nobody in the area.
Not a Steeler, not a Browns player, not even a ref.
Wide receiver Diontae Johnson was the intended target.
“Well…There’s literally nobody there, I’m so confused,” said former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said during a live stream of his Footbahlin’ Podcast.
After the game, Pickett explained what happened when asked if there was a miscommunication with Johnson.
“Yeah, we had a couple of miscommunications. Something that can’t happen. We have to get it ironed out, obviously, especially in a moment like that. We had some earlier in the game.”
It’s just another example of nearly nothing going right for the Steelers offense.
Communication issues, bad play-calling and bad quarterback play, along with an ineffective Najee Harris (1st round pick) and a less than stellar offensive line.
