For years it was Steelers fans that would enjoy the woes of Bengals fans and then coach Marvin Lewis.
A little over a decade ago Lewis and the Bengals won 58 games and were 0-5 in the playoffs.
But for as good a coach Mike Tomlin, he could be Marvin Lewis 2.0.
As the PM Team’s Andrew Fillipponi pointed, in Tomlin’s last six years he’s won the same amount of games and have gone winless in the playoffs with two less appearances, 0-3.
“If you and other people thought Marvin Lewis was a joke, then you gotta say the same thing about Tomlin,” said Poni. “We mocked them for that.”
Better days may be ahead for the Steelers and Tomlin, he isn’t going anywhere any time soon, but it can be argued that it’s been a bad past six years for Tomlin.
The best shot the Steelers had in 2017 ended in a disappointing upset to the Jacksonville Jaguars at home.
