Injuries to two key starters don't appear to be serious after Sunday's game in Jacksonville.
During his weekly press conference (moved up a day because the Steelers play on Thursday night) Mike Tomlin said that both cornerback Joe Haden and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster's availability will be better known over the next two days.
Tomlin added that Haden did return to the game and Smith-Schuster could've returned if needed but they decided to keep him on the bench.
"We don't have a lot of physical work ahead of us this week, Wednesday is a significant day," said Tomlin
Tight end Zach Gentry "has a significant knee injury," said Tomlin adding he will not be available this week.
The good news is tight end Vance McDonald is off the Reserve/COVID list and is expected to be back at practice on Tuesday.
Tomlin said he currently doesn't know the status of running backs Trey Edmunds and Jaylen Samuels (who were both out against the Jaguars) and expects to know more on Tuesday.
