Kendrick Green 'glad' he is no longer in Pittsburgh

Kendrick Green says he's happy he's out of Pittsburgh, and for Steelers fans the feeling is mutual.

Green talked to KPRC Texans reporter Aaron Wilson about facing the Steelers on Sunday in Houston.

Wilson asked Green if its motivating to play his old team.

"I don't even look at it like that, I'm glad it happened, I'm glad I'm not there anymore, I'm glad to be here," said Green. "I'm just looking at it like its another game, go out there and play my best."

Green said that he is looking forward to seeing his old teammates, but said he was "put in a pretty tough spot" while in Pittsburgh.

Green also said he is grateful to start in Houston and "by the grace of God" is out of Pittsburgh.

The Steelers even tried Green at fullback in Training Camp.

Taken in the 3rd round of the 2021 draft, Green started right away at center after Maurkice Pouncey retired.

He started in 15 games that season and struggled in Ben Roethlisberger's final year.

Green didn't play at all in 2022. He was a backup and the offensive line stayed healthy all season.

and was traded to Houston for a 2025 sixth-round pick, a trade that many fans didn't think could get done.
