It’s well known that Steelers fans are a passionate group. It’s not surprising to see a man cave covered in black and gold with Steeler pillows, couches, rugs, signed jerseys and any things else fans can they their hands on.
But this one piece of memorabilia might take the cake.
During an auction over the weekend, a container used to hold Steelers Hall of Fame linebacker Jack Lambert’s false teeth sold for nearly $20,000.
The teeth holder was part of Lelands' “Spring Classic 2021” collection that ran from February 25 to April 3.
The bidding started at $300 with 42 people bidding on the container ending at $19,914.
The light blue container have “58” written on it and according to Lelands was used to put his false teeth in before games. The holder is also signed by Lambert in black sharpie.
The teeth were not included.
Also selling during the spring event were signed football, jerseys, cleats, jackets awards and watched.
All of the auctioned off items from Lambert come with a letter of authenticity.
A helmet worn by Lambert during his first Pro Bowl in 1976 sold for over $48,000.
The auction was highlighted by A signed Tom Brady rookie card that sold for $2,252,854.40.
