The excitement around Steelers wide receiver George Pickens has now reached national levels.
Those that are covering Steelers Training Camp, including us, have been impressed with the rookie and the kind of things he's doing, all while keeping any excitement in check.
He hadn't played in a real game situation and he has zero experience in the NFL.
But the rumblings have been building about his potential and the kind of greatness he could achieve.
After making a nice catch to score a touchdown from quarterback Mason Rudolph on Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks at Acrisure Stadium, the NFL, particularly its Twitter account it hyped for Pickens.
So much so, the NFL changed its cover photo to a picture of Pickens after he was drafted with the television Photoshopped, so it looked like he was watching himself score the touchdown.
NFL's Twitter kept the love for Pickens going on Monday, posting a quick Q & A with the young WR out of Georgia.
Pickens had three catches for 43 yards, including one touchdown. He averaged 14.3 a catch.
Pickens is still unproven, but more and more passengers are getting on his hype train.
