PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers made roster moves two days after the season ended. The team signed 17 to Reserve/Future contracts including 10 who were with the team last year.
Here are those from the Steelers practice squad in 2023-CB Luq Barcoo (was in competition for job out of training camp), WR Dez Fitzpatrick (impressed during training camp, can be special teamer), DL Jonathan Marshall (signed late in the 2022 season), S Jalen Elliott (also practice squad with Las Vegas & the Patriots), OL Joey Fisher (1st signed with SF as undrafted free agent, finished season with Browns after being released by Steelers) WR Denzel Mims (spent most of the season with the Steelers, 42 receptions, 676 yards in 30 games in 3 seasons with Jets), FB Jack Colletto (2nd team All-American at Oregon State), OT Kellen Diesch (6'7", also spent time with Miami & Chicago), center Ryan McCollum and WR Duece Watts (6'1", undrafted free agent of Packers)
The newcomers
· OL Tyler Beach (6'6")-also played TE at Wisconsin, spent part of 2023 with Texans
· WR Marquez Callaway (6'2", 204 pounds)-4 seasons with Saints, 45 NFL games, 83 receptions, 1069 yards, 7 TD. In 2021 46 receptions, 698 yards, 6 TD, can return punts
· OT Devery Hamilton (6'6")-previously with Raiders and Giants on practice squad, played college at Stanford and Duke
· OT Anderson Hardy (6'6")-played tackle in HS, but switched to center in training camp with the Chiefs out of Appalachian State
· WR Keilahn Harris (5'10", 180 pounds)-signed with Falcons in camp-released after injury settlement, had 6 receptions and 71 yards against Steelers in preseason, 1832 all-purpose yards in last year at Oklahoma Baptist University
· RB Aaron Shampklin (5'10")-played in USFL for Houston Gamblers also with the Colts and Cowboys on practice squads, 2-time, first-team All-Ivy League at Harvard
· DL Jacob Slade (6'4")-spent time on Arizona's practice squad in 2023, 4 year letterwinner at Michigan State
