PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Can’t imagine ever in his career Joey Porter, Junior had a game like he did against Cincinnati on December 1. He had six penalties called against him, four accepted and on one play he committed two different fouls.

Porter, Junior returns from a knee injury that kept him out against the Chiefs. He said under different circumstances he could have played through. Asked if he’s taking this rematch personally?

“I take every game personally,” Porter, Junior said.

He knows the matchup, free agent to be Tee Higgins. The Bengals receiver is coming off a season-high 11 receptions, finishing with 131 yards and THREE touchdowns against Denver.

“Definitely going to get Higgins again,” Porter said. “I think he’s just overall a good receiver. He has a lot of good qualities to his game that I like. He can go attack the ball. He’s pretty fast. It’s going to be a good matchup.”

Porter said, with the look of confidence he seems to have at all times, that he’s prepared for the matchup. What he’s also seen from the Bengals since the last time they’ve played is not just go Burrow continuing to dominate defenses, but him doing it to different receivers. The three TDs to Higgins against Denver along with 10 receptions by tight end Mike Desicki. Ja’Marr Chase is having consistently big games but had 14 catches for 177 yards and two scores against Dallas. WR Andrei Iosivas has 34 receptions for 467 yards and six TDs this season.

He said Cincinnati is clicking right now, but he believes the Steelers have something to prove.

“I feel like we all want to get that bad taste out of our mouth,” Porter, Junior said. “Going into this, this is a very personal game for all of us. We are taking this game very serious, like every weekend, we are just trying to show everybody that we know how to play defense too.”
