The Steelers defense has taken another hit.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, linebacker Cole Holcomb will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
He was taken to the hospital as a precaution after suffering the injury against the Titans on Thursday night.
“Holcomb is out for the season and will need surgery, but is expected to make a full recovery” said Pelissero.
Holcomb has since been discharged from the hospital.
The first-year Steeler has 27 tackles in the last three games and 52 tackles overall in eight games.
He suffered a foot injury in the seventh game last season while with the Washington Commanders.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with him,” Head Coach Mike Tomlin said.
