From bad to worse.
Defensive lineman Cam Heyward is expected to miss eight weeks after groin surgery and Diontae Johnson was expected to miss a couple games.
But, that has changed, according to a report from Post-Gazette Steelers writer Gerry Dulac.
He says Johnson could miss a month or more with the hamstring injury he suffered during Sunday’s game against San Francisco 49ers.
Johnson had three catches on Sunday for 48 yards.
With Johnson out that likely means Gunner Olszewski will join George Pickens, Calvin Austin III and Allen Robinson on the receiving core.
Olszewski was inactive for the Steeler first game of the season, a loss to the 49ers, 30-7.
