In a somewhat surprising move the Steelers are reportedly cutting depth offensive lineman John Leglue.
Leglue is known for his versatility on the offensive line but has spent most of the preseason at guard.
He was referred to as a "swing offensive lineman" and was the emergency third-line center.
Signed to the practice squad at the end of camp last season, Leglue was signed to the active roster on November 27, making five starts and appearing in six games.
His first game was against Baltimore on December 5, coming in for B.J. Finney and was serviceable in his five starts.
The 26-year-old played college ball at Tulane and was signed as an undrafted free agent by Denver in 2019.
He also spent time in New Orleans and Green Bay before coming to Pittsburgh.
Many are questioning the move of cutting Leglue since the Steelers offensive line has been struggling in the preseason, even with changes being made to the line.
