According to a report, the Steelers South Side facility has been shut down due to COVID-19 concerns.
The move comes a day after the Steelers shocking got blown out by the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field on Sunday night.
The Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reports “Steelers have closed their facility because of possible Covid-19 problems.”
It’s unclear how COVID is affecting the Steelers facility specifically.
Several Steelers tested positive for coronavirus during the season, including most recently safety Joe Haden, who had to miss Sunday’s Wild Card game due to being on the team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.
But the team avoided large outbreaks that affected their schedule throughout the season including the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.
The Browns are the latest team to be affected by COVID, with head coach Kevin Stefanski forced to sit out of last night’s game.
