PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Coming off another embarrassing loss, one of the Steelers coaches quit, effective immediately.

It's been widely reported Steelers offensive line coach Adrian Klemm would leave after the season to become the University of Oregon offensive line coach, associate head coach and key recruiter for new Ducks head coach Dan Lanning. Yahoo Sports Pete Thamel, a veteran reporter with decades of experience, first to report Klemm told Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin on Monday he wants to leave now and was granted that opportunity.

Klemm took over the Steelers offensive line this season after being an assistant in Pittsburgh since 2019.  Klemm then replaced Shaun Sarrett as the lead line coach.

The 44-year-old was a second-round pick of the Patriots in 2000 and played a total of five NFL seasons.  Klemm would move to the college ranks in 2008 as Southern Methodist University's offensive line coach and then the same position with UCLA from 2012-2016.  Three former UCLA players sued Klemm and former UCLA head coach Jim Mora for mishandling injuries.

In his first year as a Steelers assistant offensive line coach, Chris Morgan will take over for the rest of the year. Morgan most recently coached six years with Atlanta, five as the offensive line coach. He also was the assistant offensive line coach with Seattle, Washington and the Raiders. The Texas native played offensive line at the University of Colorado and also coached at a Houston high school early in his career.
