ESPN's Adam Schefter says the Steelers will never bench quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, no matter what happens.
The NFL insider broke the news on ESPN's "Get Up".
Fellow NFL insider Jeremy Fowler backed that report up saying he got a "heck no" when he asked about the possibility recently.
"Now we wait to see if he can get through the week of practice and get ready to play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos while there are continued questions about this Steelers offense and the future of Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback position," said Schefter. "They're never going to bench Ben Roethlisberger; it's never going to get to that so he has to figure out a way to play better, make better decisions."
On Tuesday, coach Mike Tomlin said that other than his lack of mobility, the rest of Roethlisberger's game can be fixed and added he has no reservations starting #7.
Roethlisberger said on Wednesday that he believes that he and the offense have what it takes to turn it around.
