Should the Steelers trade backup quarterback Mason Rudolph?

Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon has compiled a list of one player each NFL team should consider trading and Rudolph is his choice for Pittsburgh.

Gagnon believes that the Steelers need to give Dwayne Haskins a path to claim the starting quarterback spot after Ben Roethlisberger retires (maybe next year?)

The Steelers do have four QBs in the locker room right now, but the big question is, would there be any interest for Rudolph.

“It's possible they'll get nothing for the 25-year-old, but he's got the size, toughness and vision to land somewhere else as a QB2 in 2021,” says Gagnon.

Gagnon adds that Rudolph “has done almost nothing to inspire confidence during his first three seasons.”

During a pre-draft new conference earlier this year, Coach Mike Tomlin singled out Haskins praising his potential.

A trade is unlikely in the Steelers plans and while things can change, Rudolph is likely the apparent successor to Roethlisberger and is the only quarterback currently under contract for Pittsburgh in 2022, signing an extension in the offseason.
