Steelers activate RB Conner from COVID list

The Pittsburgh run game is getting back a much needed boost

The struggling Steelers run game just got a big boost.

On Wednesday afternoon, Pittsburgh announced running back James Conner has been activated from their Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Conner, who reportedly tested positive for coronavirus, has been on the reserve list since November 28.

The news comes as a sigh of relief not just because he'll be back on the field, but being a Hodgkin lymphoma survivor, COVID could've had a more serious effect on him.

The Steelers also signed defensive end Cassius Marsh from the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.

Linebacker Ulysees Gilbert will practice on Wednesday, but remains on the Reserve/Injured list.

Center Maurkice Pouncey, who was added to the COVID list last Wednesday, could still be activated off that list in time for the Buffalo game Sunday night.
