Late last night the Steelers continued to make free agent additions with the signing of guard Isaac Seumalo.
The Steelers reportedly signed the former Eagle to a three-year deal. It's a big snag for Pittsburgh has Seumalo was considered one of the best guards available in this year's free agent class.
Seumalo spent the entirety of his seven-year NFL career in Philadelphia, going to two Super Bowls in his time (2017 and 2022).
Pro Football Focus ranked Seumalo as a top 10 guard in the NFL last season after earning Pro Bowl honors after starting all 20 games for the Eagles.
It's the second signing this week the Steelers made to bolster their o-line after the addition of Nate Herbig, who also happens to have originated with the Eagles before a move to the Jets.
It'll make things interesting going into camp for the upcoming season as now it seems Kevin Dotson is likely the man on the outs, entering his last season under contract.
Seumalo's injury history could play a factor though, after missing a significant amount of time in 2020 with a knee injury and a season ending injury in just week 3 of the 2021 season.
If he remains healthy like last year he can prove an impact player for Pittsburgh this season.
