PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers added more veteran depth to the defensive line Tuesday bringing back a player who missed all of last year due to injury.
Nearly 32, defensive lineman Dean Lowry signed a one-year deal after playing with the Steelers in 2024 and out in 2025 due to a torn ACL in training camp.
Lowry played in 12 games two years ago with a start for the Steelers with five tackles, a sack and pass defensed. He played 21% of the defensive snaps and 10% on special teams.
Drafted by now Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy in his final year in Green Bay, the 6’6”, 296 pounder has played 132 NFL games, 111 with Green Bay over nine seasons. From 2019-22 he started most of the games for the Packers at defensive end.
