PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Weather conditions less than ideal, the Steelers have cancelled a number of outdoor events originally planned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception on Friday.

A number of former Steelers, along with Steelers President Art Rooney were to be at the sight of the catch alongside General Robinson Street. The temperatures forecasted around three degrees at 3:41p Friday with high winds. As of Thursday evening, the team still plans to have a few speakers at the marker to broadcast the call of the play outside. You can go and be a part of that as it will be open to the public.

The Steelers will open the FedEx Great Hall from 2-5p and it's free to enter. There will be a scaled-down program there. Food and beverages will be sold at Franco's Pizzeria and Pub 33. Parking is available at the adjoining lots.
