Steelers' 53-Man Roster: 4 QBs, All Draft Picks Make Cut

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers keep four quarterbacks on the active roster as they trimmed down to 53 players on Sunday night. They also kept Mt. Lebanon and Navy running back and seventh-round pick Eli Heidenreich. DeShon Elliott is on injured reserve, Joey Porter, Junior is activated in a series of moves before the 6p deadline.

The Steelers kept every player from its 2026 NFL Draft class and undrafted rookie Kevin Jobity, Junior from Syracuse.

INJURED RESERVE

Starting safety DeShon Elliott will miss at least the first four games of the season on injured reserve. Also on injured reserve is tackle Jack Driscoll

JOEY PORTER, JUNIOIR

While not getting a contract done, Joey Porter, Junior is officially off the injured list with what was described as a tweaked back. There is still no contract for Porter and it’s unclear if he will begin practicing.
