Steelers make multiple roster moves

LATROBE, PA (93.7 The Fan) – A series of roster moves as the Steelers returned for the final week of public workouts in Latrobe on Sunday.

Veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry was added to the active roster of the PUP list while veteran defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko was put on the Reserve/Injured list.


Steelers signed DE Marquiss Spencer and linebacker Luquay Washington releasing linebacker Easton Gibbs.

Lowry is entering his ninth year in the NFL, playing in 120 career games with 84 started. After seven years in Green Bay, Lowry played nine games (four starts) with Minnesota last season. He has 266 career tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, an interception and forced fumble.

The 27-year-old Fehoko spent parts of last season on the Steeles practice squad after previously playing three years and 10 games with the Chargers.

Spencer is also 27-years-old, 6'4", 295 pounds, a seventh-round pick out of Mississippi State in 2021. He spent last season on the Jets practice squad and was waived by New York in May.

Washington was an undrafted rookie out of Central Connecticut State who was with the Chiefs from May until July 26. His college position coach had an internship with the Steelers. Washington had 110 tackles, five pass breakups, seven sacks, 16.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles at CC State.
