Steelers officially add former Ravens assistant

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The Steelers make official the poaching of a Ravens coach, now coming to Pittsburgh.

Jason Brooks hired as the team’s defensive quality control coach after spending the last two seasons in Baltimore working with the defensive line and as a ‘football analyst’. Brooks was on the Ravens Super Bowl championship team in 2012 serving as an offensive assistant from 2009-12.

Brooks has also had five coaching jobs in college and started in the NFL as a scouting assistant with the Dolphins. His father, Clarence coached 24 years in the NFL including as the defensive line coach with the Ravens and Browns.

Steelers also confirmed the promotion of Denzel Martin to outside linebackers coach. Martin joined the Steelers in 2016 as a coaching assistant, helping the outside linebackers since 2019.
