The Steelers closed out a crazy overtime win over the reining AFC champs with a final score of 23-20.
The defense came up huge today in shutting down the Bengals and Joe Burrow. They forced 4 interceptions and accumulated a total of 7 sacks in a great showing. As well as forcing 4 turnovers in the first half alone.
Mitch Trubisky in his first start for the team was steady going 21/38 and throwing for 1 touchdown.
The big play of the game came at the end of the game when Minkah Fitzpatrick blocked an extra point that would have sealed a win for the Bengals in the final seconds of the game to send it to overtime.
Overtime continued the crazy theme of the game with both sides missing a field goal making for an intense stale mate.
Chris Boswell finally sealed the deal with his second attempt in overtime with a 55-yard FG for a final score of 23-20.
