PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It doesn't take away from a practice the fans could have watched in Latrobe as the Steelers announced they will hold a joint practice with the Buffalo Bills on August 15 at Acrisure Stadium. It will be closed to the public.

Essentially the Bills will come to town a little early and get a workout in with the Steelers two days before they will play an exhibition game at the stadium. The Steelers hold their final practice in Latrobe the day before.

A few times over the years the Steelers would have joint practices with NFL teams, but they haven't had one for eight years. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and Bills head coach Sean McDermott have known each other for years, each attending William and Mary.

Steelers report to training camp at St. Vincent College next Wednesday with the first practice open to the fans on July 25 at 10:30a.
