PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The Pittsburgh Steelers will be hosting the Chicago Bears for Monday Night Football at Heinz Field during Week 9.
While the season may not have been the smoothest for the Steelers so far, they have good history to fall back on going into the Week 9 matchup.

The Steelers haven’t lost a home Monday Night Football game since 1991.
In just over 20 years, the Steelers have been victorious in 19 consecutive Monday Night Football games played in Pittsburgh.
The 19-0 streak runs as far back as the days of Neil O’Donnell as the Steelers’ quarterback.
Since O’Donnell, Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart, Tommy Maddox, Ben Roethlisberger, and even Mason Rudolph have picked up home Monday night wins.
Big Ben holds the best record going 6-0 at home on Monday night since entering the NFL in 2005.
With the last loss coming in 1991, obviously Heinz Field has never seen a loss on Monday night.
The Steelers will look to continue that streak during Week 9 against the Bears.
If the Steelers win, not only will the streak continue but the Steelers will become the first franchise in the NFL to win 50 Monday Night Football games.
Both the Steelers (49-25) and San Francisco 49ers (49-29) are one shy of the milestone.
History is on the Steelers side this week, now they have to perform.
