There is a movement to bring free agent quarterback Mitch Trubisky to Pittsburgh to compete for their starting quarterback and NFL insider John Clayton says that’s shockingly the case around the league.
Clayton tells The PM Team that “his stock went up, even though he has no stock.”
Part of the reason he’s getting more attention is it appears Russell Wilson isn’t leaving Seattle and Aaron Rodgers could be staying put in Green Bay.
“I thought he proved in Chicago that he’s not good enough to win, now with his stock going up, it’s not going to change who Mitch Trubisky is,” said Clayton. “Other teams are starting to pump up the idea of Mitch.”
Clayton say Trubisky isn’t even worth a roll of the dice.

Trubisky, taken 2nd overall by the Chicago Bears in 2017, is 29-21 in his career with 64 touchdowns and 38 interceptions with 10,652 passing yards.
Labeled by some a draft bust because of his inconsistent play, Trubisky signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills to be Josh Allen’s backup quarterback in 2021.
Trubisky signed a $2 million deal with Buffalo last year. With quarterbacks in high demand, Trubisky’s 2022 salary may be inflated.
