Last year he was a rookie, but now people are expecting a big jump and big things from Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett.

His teammates know he’s going to grow in year two. They’re now calling him “Big Ken”.

“Now we call him Big Ken and he’s growing into that position,” said defensive lineman Cam Heyward.

Heyward unveiled the nickname on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, where he will be on every week.

Co-host Kyle Brant asked if the name had anything to do with the recent Barbie movie.

“You know, he brings that Ken energy,” joked Heyward.

Speaking seriously, Heyward said he had to “learn on the fly” last year when he was put in at half time during a game at home.

He hardly got any first team snaps last Training Camp, and took most of them this preseason.

“He’s got a lot more parts around him,” added Heyward saying the receivers and line is there to “set him up for success.”

Of course, the Steelers’ previous quarterback was “Big”, "Big Ben" Roethlisberger.
