Could Dez Bryant be on his way back to the NFL?
The former Dallas Cowboys receiver is likely to sign with the Baltimore Ravens practice squad if his workout and physical all go well, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Brown’s name has surfaced in several reports this week as he is eligible to return from a suspension in Week 8, but Bryant is someone the Ravens have been eyeing for a while.
The 31-year-old former first-round pick was brought in for a tryout with Baltimore back in August, but left without a deal.
It has been three years since Bryant last played in an NFL game, which came with the Dallas Cowboys. He has not been on an NFL roster since 2018 when he was signed by the New Orleans Saints, who placed him on the IR just two days later with a season-ending Achilles tendon tear he sustained in practice.
At his peak with the Cowboys, Bryant was an All-Pro wide receiver and three-time Pro Bowler, but was ultimately cut by Dallas following a mediocre 2017 campaign and with the receiver in line to make $12.5 million.
