NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says that linebacker Bud Dupree is “expected” to be released by the Tennessee Titans.

The former Steeler was set to make $17 million this upcoming season.

Dupree’s time in Tennessee has been marred by injuries.

He missed six games in 2021 while recovering from the ACL injury he suffered while still with the Steelers in 2020.

This past season, Dupree dealt with separate hip injuries, playing in 11 of 17 games.

Dupree was placed on injured reserve in December by the Titans.

He signed a five-year, $82.5 million deal in 2021 and in two seasons has seven sacks, two fumble recoveries for two yards, two forced fumbles and 35 tackles in 22 games. He started in 17 of them.

Even with injury issues, the Steelers may want to bring back Dupree for some help with their depth as pass rusher.
