The 93.7 Fan family keeps on growing.

We are excited to announce that recently retired MLB infielder Neil Walker, who spent seven years with his hometown Pittsburgh Pirates, is joining the Fan Morning Show.

Neil will join Colin, Chris and Jim for an entire hour every Monday at 9 a.m.

“Talking Pittsburgh sports is something I love to do,” said Walker. “I couldn’t be more excited to do that every week on The Fan with the greatest fans in our city.”

It won't be a Q and A segment either, It will be Walker talking Pittsburgh sports, not just Pirates.

Walker, a Pine-Richland grad, was drafted by the Bucs in 2004 and made his Major League debut in 2009. He was an integral part of bringing back winning baseball to Pittsburgh, helping the Pirates reach the postseason in three straight seasons between 2013-2015.

Over his 12 years, Walker also played for the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies.

“Neil Walker will forever be beloved in Pittsburgh – the local kid who led the Pirates to the playoffs for the first time in over 20 years…you can’t write a story any better than that,” said Michael Spacciapolli, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Pittsburgh. “We are thrilled to have him join the Fan family to talk Pittsburgh sports and share his stories every Monday.”

Walker announced last month that he was retiring from Major League Baseball.

You can listen to The Fan anytime at 93.7 on your radio dial or download the audacy app to take The Fan with you ,wherever you go.
