Andrew Fillipponi’s bet that he could eat $28 worth of Taco Bell in a half hour if he lost a bet based on the Carolina Panthers covering the Los Angeles Rams.

He lost, and had to pay up on Thursday.

As soon as Poni took a sip of the Mt. Dew Baja Blast, the clock started and he was underway.

Poni quickly realized he was in over his head and wasn’t going to be able to eat it.

After only 10 minutes, Poni proposed a deal, and it was one his co-hosts Chris Mueller and Donny Football couldn’t refuse.

Poni said he would donate $200 to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

After Mueller was able to get Poni to agree to $250, he and Donny took the deal.

To increase the donation, Mueller pledged to match the $250 donation for a grand total of $500.

Mueller adjusted the terms to go 10-times higher than the original amount, bringing each man’s donation to $280 and a total of $560.

Poni may have wimped out, but it ended up being for a great cause.

The reason it was $28 worth of food was because a wealth management executive claimed his lunch was that price at Taco Bell because of inflation.
